America’s Got Talent runner-up and Junior Eurovision 2021 Polish entrant Sara James released a new dual single last October 11th. Her dual single is a Spotify-exclusive meaning it is only available on Spotify.

There are two tracks on her new dual single which is her re-worked version of “My Wave” (her English-language single that came out just before her AGT audition) and “lovely”, her cover of the Billie Eilish song.

That being said, I decided to review each track from her new dual single and this is what I have to say about the tracks…

01. My Wave

Track #1 from her “Spotify Singles” dual single is the re-worked version of “My Wave” (which I mentioned earlier). For a re-work, this is a pretty good one because Sara’s vocals get to shine even more and the arrangement of this re-work gives the song an even more dramatic flair. Rating: 4.5/5

02. lovely

Track #2 is her cover of “lovely” by Billie Eilish and I have to say that this one is one of the few instances where the cover version is better than the original (other songs that hold the same distinction in my opinion include “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston which is a Dolly Patron cover and “You Got It All” by Britney Spears, a The Jets cover). Sara definitely gave “lovely” a more emotion and depth in her cover, the way that the song should be because of its theme. Rating: 4/5
